Yummy chocolate brownies!

so today I have been baking brownies for a christening I am going to tomorrow. So I decided I would blog about them for you. These brownies are yummy and so easy to make. Here's how I make these rich, chocolaty brownies.. Enjoy!

To make a large batch of these tasty treats you will need:

275g/10oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids) (or plain / milk if you want them sweeter)
275g/10oz unsalted butter
175g/6oz plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla essence
325g/12oz caster sugar
pecans, chocolate chunks, marshmallows, anything you want in the brownies!

Equipment:1 large bowl, 1 small bowl, wooden spoon, a whisk (optional), a sauce pan, scales and a sieve.

Preheat the oven to 170C/325F/Gas3. Line tin with lightly buttered greaseproof paper or foil.
Put the plain chocolate and butter in a large bowl, place over a pan of simmering water and allow to melt.
Sieve the flour and baking powder into a bowl and set aside. Remove the melted chocolate from the heat and stir in the sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla essence. Fold in the flour and treats of your choice.

Put in the oven for 20 - 25 minutes until the top is firm and the middle is still squishy.

Cut into pieces and leave to cool! You could also pop on some icing sugar for decoration.

I hope you have fun making them!
Much love,
Grace x
